The film is loosely based on Chetan Bhagat's best selling novel "Five Point Someone". It tells a tale of three friends who stuggle to enjoy their friendship and youth while trying to ward off the burden of grueling studies in an engineering college
Farhan , Raju and Rancho are three engineering students who share a room in the residence of Imperial College of Engineering (ICE). Rancho is a very unique students, he doesn't memorizing, and even openly against the principal "virus", questioned his method of teaching. He not only encourage Farhan and Raju to brave seek the ideal, also persuaded the second daughter of the headmaster's (Pia) leave her proud fiance .
